Customizing Syncfusion’s .NET MAUI AI AssistView for AI PC Interfaces

Hello everyone,

I’m currently using an AI PC and I’m exploring Syncfusion’s .NET MAUI AI AssistView feature. I’d like to know if it's possible to customize this tool specifically for the unique AI capabilities of my device. For example, can I modify the interface to better suit AI-driven applications, or integrate machine learning models that would enhance user interaction?

I’m particularly interested in understanding how adaptable the AI AssistView is for advanced AI features, such as voice or gesture recognition, and whether it can support dynamic learning based on user behavior. If you’ve worked with this feature before or have any advice on how to best implement such customizations, I’d appreciate hearing about the tools or techniques you used, as well as any challenges you encountered.

The `.NET MAUI AIAssistView` control enables seamless integration of AI services into MAUI applications, making it easier to build intelligent and responsive apps. You can customize the UI by defining your own templates for displaying views or controls using the `ControlTemplate` property, based on your specific needs.

 

However, we regret to inform you that we currently do not have examples available for advanced AI features such as voice or gesture recognition, as you mentioned.

 How can we select the text when I don't want to copy the whole text available only part in  AssistView when we get a response?

Hi Ramez Abiad,

Currently, the AIAssistView does not support selecting specific parts of the response text. We have logged a feature request for your requirement “Support for Selecting Part of the Response Text in AIAssistView ” in .NET MAUI and considered to implement. We will implement this feature in any of our upcoming release.     

 

At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features and identify features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest. We will let you know when this feature is implemented. We appreciate your patience until then.
