Error related to downloading and saving PDF.

Hello!

I encountered an issue related to the saveAsBlob command of the PDF viewer.

I commented "Tiếng Việt", but after saving, the comment became corrupted into "TiỂ뼀渀最 嘀椞쎇t".

Can you help me with this?

Here is my code:

viewer.saveAsBlob().then(function (value) {

    var reader = new FileReader();

    reader.readAsDataURL(value);

    reader.onload = () => {

        var base64data = reader.result;

        viewer.load(base64data, null);

    };

});

Hi,

We have fixed the reported issue "Comment Corrupted After Adding and Downloading in Loaded Document" and the fix for the reported issue was included in our latest weekly release v27.1.57. Kindly upgrade to that version to get the issue resolved.

 

Root cause:

During text decode string to bytes conversion invalid character code added for the actual character, due to this text value not as expected.

 

Solution:

The byte values were properly retrieved by using string to bytes conversion.
