Signature pad on working in iOS inside a backgrop - tab layout

I'm having a very specific scenario where the Signature Pad fails on iOS only (it works on Android). 

I've got the pad inside a tab view which is inside a backdrop page and when I start drawing on the pad it just stops after a small stroke. It does work if I use a non backdrop page or if I put the signature pad on the first tab but it fails if I put it inside an initially hidden tab.

I'm attaching a sample.
