Currently experiencing an issue where the Red parts of the illustration in the Word document are not showing in the converted PDF file version. I'm assuming it's Word Art as oppose to say a JPG image.
Offending document attached.
I'm hoping this is just a setting issue but couldn't find any information about it yet. Cheers.
(Apologies. Should have attached the output PDF file as well. But I can update the attachment after creating this thread. Just imagine all the red squiggly lines not showing in the PDF version.)

Hi Randal,
On analyzing the given details, we found that you are using Ink in the input
Word document. Syncfusion Word library (DocIO) currently doesn’t “Support
for ink in DOCX format document and in Word to PDF conversion”. We have
already logged this as a feature request in our database. We don’t have any
immediate plans to implement this feature. We will let you know when this
feature is implemented.
The status of the feature can be tracked through link:
Support
for ink in DOCX format document in WinForms | Feedback Portal (syncfusion.com)
As a workaround, we suggest you to kindly modify the InkML image as an normal
image in the input Word document thereby it will be preserved properly in the
converted PDF created using Essential DocIO.
We have modified the InkML image in the Word document with the normal image.
This modified Word document, and its output PDF document can be downloaded from
the below attachment.
Regards,
Dharanya.
Thanks for the speedy reply.
Just confirming the bit where you say "we have modified..." I assume by modified you manually edited the document in Word as oppose to programmatically?
Randal,
We have modified the InkML image with a normal image in the Microsoft Word
application. As mentioned earlier, we do not have support for InkML images, and
this cannot be achieved programmatically.
Regards,
Dharanya.
Is there any way I can alter other Word templates with the same issue myself?
Is the an easy way to replace the InkML image?
Regards,
Randal Halligan
Randal,
Regarding “Is there any way I can alter other Word templates with the same
issue myself?”:
Kinldy follow the steps below to modify InkML to an image in Microsoft Word:
1. Open the document containing the InkML image.
2. Select the InkML image, right-click, and choose "Save as Picture."
3. After saving it as a picture in File Explorer, remove the InkML image from
the document.
4. In the same position where the InkML image was removed, insert the saved
picture.
Regarding “Is the an easy way to replace the InkML image?”:
The approach mentioned above is the easiest way to replace an InkML image
with a picture.
Regards,
Dharanya.
