.NET MAUI 8 throwing exception when opening page with SFListView - 183807
Hello. We are also blocked by this issue. My colleague, Christian Kurz, opened this issue. We use in our Product SF Calendar, SF Expander, SF Inputs, SF ListView, SF PDFViewer, SF Popup. We used some more Controls on Xamarin and we are satisfied. But this Controls not yet transitioned to Maui. Because of this, we replaced the controls. This was not a good experience. We face a lot of issues with .NET 7. Because of this wee need to begin a transition to .NET 8. At the Moment, the SF Controls block us from this.
Hi Albert Ruff,
We have consulted the respective team to provide you with the custom patch. We need some more time to develop the patch, and we will deliver it to you on or before September 7, 2023.

I'm grateful and looking forward to staying with SF. (Phew!!) I didn't wanna go :)

Hi SyncFusion
Can this also cover the following which are critical for us with MAUI
- Syncfusion.Maui.ListView (SfListView)
- Syncfusion.Maui.Core
- Syncfusion.Maui.Charts (SfCartesianChart / SfCircularChart / PieSeries)

Hello, naturally, if there are patches for those heading to Albert, I use(d) those controls myself and would welcome a .net 8 preview nuget.
Thanks again,
Dave G

Hello,
Same boat here , if there are patches for those heading to Albert, I would really like them as well.
Could you release a Preview Nuget?
Thanks
Esben
Hello,
Following up on this, I am in the same issue as well, since we are currently targeting .net 8 preview to deal with fixes on many items.
Could I please get included with this. I am specificially getting exceptions when trying to use the SFPopup and SFPDF.

Thank you SF for listening and providing a patch to unblock us on DotNet 8!
I have tested the patched NuGet files on Android and so far no crashes with DotNet 8 preview 8.0.100-preview.7.23376.3, hopefully the same story on iOS.
I did perform some drag & drop list re-ordering, it seems that the existing cells do not attempt to move out of the way and the drop (releasing the finger) didn't actually drop. It's possible that in the Xamarin.Forms to MAUI migration I commented out a little too much SF code, however I did undo my original commit, which should have re-instated all the original list behaviour. I will comment more once we know more, but maybe you can see this issue in a kitchen-sink SF project too?
Please let me know if I can help you any further.
Kind Regards,
Rob.
James,
We have reviewed your reported query and conducted tests with a simple sample using drag and drop. During our testing, we did not encounter any issues with the sample. We have attached a video for your reference.
Could you please provide us with more details regarding the exact problem you are facing? Additionally, it would be helpful if you could share the following information:
- A code snippet related to the SfListView.
- A reference to the video demonstrating the issue.
- Platform-related details.
Providing these details will assist us in further validating your query.
Thanks for this information. The code is undergoing a lot of changes at the moment, so I will not be circling back to the drag + drop re-ordering for a little while longer, but based on your reply it does sound likely that it's my issue not yours.
James,
Thanks for the update. We forgot to attach the video reference earlier. Please find the attachment below. Kindly check at your end. We will wait to hear from you. Please let us know if you require any additional assistance; we are happy to help you.
