Drag & Drop works only once
Hi support,
as I wrote earlier in this forum (https://www.syncfusion.com/forums/182891/reorder-items-not-available ), I was quiet happy to have drag&drop available in SFListView.
But now I have the problem, that after I made drag&drop, the function does not work any more.
This happens regardless of refreshing the contents of my underlying collection programmatically within the ItemDragging event or if I use "UpdateSource="True"" within the DrapDropController.
I think this worked well with the first version of drag&drop in the listview (but now I'm on version 22.2.7).
Regards,
Stephan
Hi Stephan,
We have analyzed your query and attempted to reproduce the reported issue on our end. However, we were unable to replicate the problem as described. It seems that we do not fully understand your query. Could you please provide the following details
- SfListView initializing code snippets
- Underlying collection related codes
- Running platform (Model and OS)
For your reference, we have attached a sample where we created a DragDropController and set UpdateSource to True. If we missed any customizations, please feel free to modify and send it back to us so that we can validate it.

Hi Diwakar,
many thanks for your example.
But this also does not work.
I can only drag and drop once.
After that I can only select a row but nothing else happens.
My environment:
macOS Ventura 13.5
Visual Studio 17.6.2
Simulator: iPhone 14 Pro (but does also not work on a real device)
Regards,
Stephan
Addition:
I just noticed:
If I wait for a longer time (10 minutes or so) I can drag&drop again.
Very strange.
Stephan,
We can able to reproduce the issue in iOS platform. Currently, we are validating this issue on our end and we require some days to properly validate it and update the further details on or before 10 Aug, 2023.
We are appreciate your patience until then.
Stephan,
We have analyzed your query and it appears that this break issue is occurring due to one of the dependency packages, Syncfusion.Maui.Core, of SfListView. So we are checking this with respective team and provide you with further details on or before August 14, 2023.
We appreciate your patience until then.
Stephan,
We’ve logged the reported issue internally in our end. We will fix the issue and include it in our upcoming weekly nuget which is scheduled for Aug 22, 2023. We will let you know once it is released with the fix.
We appreciate your patience until then.
Stephan,
We have fixed the reported issue “Reordering items with OnHold DragStartMode doesn’t always work on IOS” and included the issue fix in our latest NuGet release update version 22.2.10 which is available for download (https://www.nuget.org/).
We thank you for your support and appreciate your patience in waiting for this update. Please get in touch with us if you require any further assistance
Hi RiyasHameed,
