Excel export grouped collapsed

I have a Grid with allowGrouping set to true.

How can I achieve an excel export that only shows the groupCaptionTemplate and footerTemplate ​when collapsed.

How can I keep it collapsed on export.

Greetings from Syncfusion support. 

 

Based on the query we would like to let you know that the grouped records in Grid which are exported to excel will be in expanded state by default. This is because the excel cells for the group caption and grouped records are initialized in this structure and exported to the excel file. This is the default behavior of Grid’s excel export functionality and so it is not feasible to achieve the mentioned requirement.
