Display cancel and save buttons on the bottom of a row

I have a treegrid that is set to row edit mode. When the user clicks on the row to edit I would like to have a save and cancel button appear below the row (to avoid taking up too much horizontal space).


What would be the best way to accomplish this?

Thank you for the information on command columns. What I am trying to do:

1) Have the buttons appear below the row (so they don't take up additional verticle space)

2) Only have the buttons appear in edit mode


I've attached an example picture to better illustrate my request
