Bold Report installation

Good evening,

I'm trying to install Bold Reports SDK without success. At the end of loading the installer, the screen blinks and disapear, without showing the next window. I've already give permission to the folder where the installer is but it still didn't work.

Thanks for sharing the system configuration details. Could you please share the below additional details to check the issue further ? 

  1. Setup version details you have tried.
  2. When does the UI get disappears ? whether after clicking the next button of login\path selecting wizard or initially on setup extraction ?

  3. Whether you tried the online installation or offline installation ? (if above login wizard showed)
  4. Please share the log files from the %temp% location if exist.

  5. Share the OS Language.
  6. Share the exact build version of OS.
  • Press the keyboard shortcut [Windows] key + [R]. This opens the “Run” dialog box.

 
 
  • Enter winver and click [OK].

My Windows version is Versão 20H2 (Compilação do Sistema Operacional 19042.1237)

OS Language: portuguese.

I’m sending you the screen that appears to me. It shows the version.

The window asking for the login doesn’t appear for me.

I’m executing the file BoldReports_EmbeddedReporting.exe.

I didn't found the logs folder.

Thanks for your patience.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We could not able to reproduce the reported issue in same machine configuration (Windows 10 Portuguese) too.

We are able to extract and install the Bold Reports v3.2 (both Embedded and Designer) builds without any issue. Please refer the below screenshots.

 

 

 

 


Could you please confirm whether the above machine configuration is fine or did we missed anything in the configuration ? if yes means please let us know.

Could you please try the below suggestion ?

 
  1. Check whether %temp% location having the full access permission (read , write) of all user groups ? Since our installer will extract the temporary files initially on temp location only. Please provide the full access permission to %temp% location and try the installation.

  2. Check whether Embedded and Designer setup present location and %temp% location containing any special character or question mark (?) ? If yes means , please change the folder name and try the installation.

  3. Try the setup installation in new machine too (same machine configuration).

If you still face the issue , please let us know your available time to schedule the web meeting to check the issue.

I succeded installing the software in another machine with similar configuration, but I'm still not able to install in my working machine. The login screen doesn't appear. I found a Bold Report xml in the %temp% folder and I'm sending to you.

Could you please try the suggestions listed below that we gave in a prior update to resolve the issue ? 

  • Check whether %temp% location having the full access permission (read , write) of all user groups ? Since our installer will extract the temporary files initially on temp location only. Please provide the full access permission to %temp% location and try the installation.
  • Check whether Embedded and Designer setup present location and %temp% location containing any special character or question mark (?) ? If yes means , please change the folder name and try the installation

If you're still having problems with your machine, please let us know your availability to schedule the web meeting to look into it. 

Also, our Bold Reports installer does not create any files similar to the ones you shared us.
