Click on table of contents not jumping to right position
Hello,
when clicking on any entry in the table of contents of the attached pdf the page scrolls up to the top.
The pdf works fine in other viewers and other pdf we created with exactly the same export settings also work.
Any help or fix would be great.
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We are still validating the issue “Click on table of contents not jumping to right position”. The destinations for the table of contents (TOC) in a PDF page must be defined in the PDF file itself. On our analysis, we found that the destinations provided in the PDF file you have shared are null. Because of this, different PDF viewers behave differently. E.g Adobe reader (desktop) and Google Chrome navigate to the correct location of the TOC, whereas Microsoft Edge navigates only to the destination page and not to the exact location within that page.
So, we are still analyzing how some viewers are navigating to the correct location although the PDF does not contain the destination information. We will update further details on August 17, 2021.

Hi Thomas,
As we mentioned earlier, the destinations of the TOC (table of contents) are defined as null in the provided PDF document. We also noticed that the other PDF viewers such as Adobe and Chrome are navigating to different locations based on the zoom level. i.e. The location navigated to for a particular TOC is not same in two different zoom levels in Adobe and Chrome.

We can resolve the issue by navigating to the page of the TOC similar to how Microsoft Edge does. But it is not possible to navigate to the exact location within the destination page as that information is not specified in the PDF file itself. Kindly let us know if it is okay for you, if the TOCs in the PDF navigate to the destination page.
