VisibleDatesChanged triggered even if the schedule is not visisble

I have a view where the user can switch between a list view of items or the sfschedule control.

the default is that the listview is shown and the sfschedule controll is invisible.

But on iOS the VisibleDatesChanged is raised on initial loading of the page.

Can this be prenvented?

Seems like a bug to me.
