Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support. 

Query: Please update the documentation at this link: 'Grid_excelexport' should be 'grid_excelexport' 
 
By default in EJ2 Grid the Grid element id will be taken based on the id property only and using the Grid component Id we have generated the Id for other subcomponents along with Grid component’s element id in our EJ2 Grid. 
 
The #grid type of DOM id will be used to get the reference of the component only which will not be taken as Grid element id in our EJ2 Grid and it is the default behavior of EJ2 Grid component. For your convenience we have attached the sample please refer them for your reference.
