Scrolling not working when touch interaction enabled on charts

Currently unable to scroll/use critical app views that have multiple vertical charts shown on it. The charts cover most of the screen view, with only a small amount of margin between them. This makes scrolling on the screen almost impossible as we can't use the chart space to scroll anymore. We have received really bad feedback from users, as this has negatively impacted their exerience when using our application. I understand that there are some cases (zooming, panning, trackball, etc) where disabling scrolling gives users a better experience but not all cases are like this unfortunately. Would it be possible to add a configuration flag to the chart that would allow us to enable/disable this feature? This issue is a bit of a show stopper for our team atm and could potentially delay our MVP release next month.

Please let me know if you require anymore information.

Hi Eddie,

Greetings from Syncfusion. We would like to let you know that, currently we have prohibited the scrolling when user interactions like trackball, crosshair, zooming, or panning are enabled in our Flutter chart and this is our default behaviour. However, we are working on improving this feature by providing scrolling support when user interactions are enabled. This improvement will be available in vol 1 main release which is expected to be rolled out at the end of March 2021.  You can track the status of your feature request in our feedback link and we appreciate your patience until then.

Thanks,
Dharanitharan. P

Hi Eddie,

Thanks for your patience. We are glad to inform you that the reported scrolling gesture issue got resolved and rolled out in our volume 1 main release. We also like to tell you that the scrolling gesture is prohibited purposefully while user interactions are enabled in the following scenarios:

1. Crosshair or trackball enabled with a single tap as activation mode
2. Zooming or panning enabled with modes other than the selection zooming

You can upgrade the package to the latest version from the below link.

Please revert us if you still have further concerns.

Thanks,

Hi Dharanitharan,

Could you explain how this new future works?
I can't manage to find where to configure it.

Kind regards.

Hi Roderik,

We have investigated your query and like to tell you that we did not provide any separate API for this feature and it will works by default. For the following scenarios, we specifically prohibited the scrolling gesture.
  1. Crosshair or trackball enabled with the single tap
  2. Zooming or panning enabled with modes other than selection zooming
We have also logged feedback for the above-mentioned cases, and it will be included in one of our upcoming releases. Since it's not on our road map, we cannot give you a specific timeline, but we will do to launch it sooner, and you can check on the status at the following feedback link.

Thanks,
Dharanitharan. P
