Autogenerate row naming

hi Good day.

I want to generate a unique naming for my datas as shown in the "Serial" column.(please see the attached file)

the whole idea is that, I want to compare the values for columns Item,D2,D3, & D4.
perfect example at rows 1-2 where all the same values. so the "Code" column is called A.
and rows 3 & 4 where values in D2,D3 and D4 were different. I call it B and C.

The same situation for rows 5 & 6 and the rest.

thank you

thank you for the response.

but when I debug and group and expand, I get an Exception Unhandled errror?

Now the table by Item, I noticed that the Code column was giving me A,B,C,D, and E? which is not the case.
Item 1002 compare to Item 1001 both unique so this should give me both A. and again comparing this items(1001, 1002, &1004) this should give another A because all

Hi thank you for the response.

groupings is now fixed, however the Column "code" is not working as planned.

The main concept is to 1st compare values at D2, next is D3 and next is D4.
Kindly see the expected output.

Hi Vijayarasan S,

I wish you a very good New Year.

Thank you for the response. I appreciate your effort in providing a workable code.
It is close enough to my example. below is the sample where Column "Code" gave me a letter "A" which is correct.

orders.Add(new OrderInfo { Item = 1002, D2 = "Antonio Moreno", D3 = "Mexico", D4 = "ANATR" });
orders.Add(new OrderInfo { Item = 1007, D2 = "Antonio Moreno", D3 = "Mexico", D4 = "ANATR" });

What I notice is that at Column "D3" where both is "Mexico". I want to change that into "USA", refer to sample below.
at Column "Code", this should give me "A" & "B". kindly see attached.

orders.Add(new OrderInfo { Item = 1002, D2 = "Antonio Moreno", D3 = "Mexico", D4 = "ANATR" });
orders.Add(new OrderInfo { Item = 1007, D2 = "Antonio Moreno", D3 = "USA", D4 = "ANATR" });

Hi Vijayarasan S.

Thank you for the response. I noticed the update in the code it is the same method I did before. This works with the first 2 rows.(Antonio Moreno)

Could you please check the attached file and see the rows where there are Thomas Hardy.

I labelled the rows according to the expected Code values. As you can observe the differences and uniqueness in the row values for columns D3 and D4.

thank you,
mark
