Grouping by Columns in Vertical Groups

Hi Syncfusion Team,

Our intention is to use Syncfusion React Grid for a project concerning assigning Features to Vehicles, with the intention to assign these Features to 'Groups' of Vehicles once they have been Grouped.  See attached.

After much investigation, whilst React Grid supports the majority of requirements for this project, it does not currently allow us to group the vehicles in a verticals/ columns which is fundamental for our project.  Grouping UI is presented in your current documentation only in horizontal/ row grouping format.

Please can you advise if there is a work around, or alternative way to do this within the current React Grid, as without this we will not be able to use Synfusion React Grid.  I have noted that this functionality as been requested a few times in very old posts in the forums, so am hoping that this has been included in a recent version or your team has a work around solution.

Thank you in advance

David

Dear Thiyagu & Team,

Thank you for your prompt response and guidance on Pivot table.

Is it possible to edit the values within the Pivot table, or indeed include react components within cells like in the Data Grid.  i.e. without having to open a modal.   Essentially, we require the edit functionality thats present within the data grid also

Thank you

David

Hi David,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.

We regret you to let you know that the requirement couldn’t be achievable in pivot table component. Because, each value cells are created by aggregating its raw items. So, editing the aggregated cell alone isn’t possible where as you can edit the raw items of the specific cell. Based on the changes in its raw items, the cell will be updated.

Kindly check the below online demo link and documentation link for your reference.

Please let us know if you have concern.

Regards,
Sivamathi.
