Pinch zoom on single axis

Is it possible to enable pinch zooming, but where it only zooms on the x-axis, but not the y-axis?

The chart is cartesian, and I have tried setting the zoomFactor of the y-axis to 0, which crashed the app. And then to a very small number (aka 0.0001) but this didn't seem to have any effect. it still zoomed in on both axes
