MonthView, changing months animation is jerky and "slow"

On Android we've noticed that the change in MonthView when swiping left/right is slow, it ends up "lagging" or feels cut off towards the end of the animation.

Based on the provided information, we have checked the reported issue “Schedule getting slow while swiping to next / previous months” in Xamarin.Forms (Android) and swiping is fine as expected. We have checked (Tested in Samsung S7 and Mi A1) with adding certain appointments in month and swiping is fine. Please find the following sample for the same by the following link,

Can you please elaborate how you’re using the Schedule with the following details? 

·       How many appointments you have loaded in the view. 

·       Did you use any Custom View’s / Template in Schedule. 

·       Device configuration details with video (if possible)

I've attached a video recording of this jerkyness.

There aren't a lot of appointments, maybe about 10 or so loaded, not much code running in the background either.

Running on Samsung Galaxy S8 phone.

We have analyzed the reported issue “Schedule getting slow while swiping to next/previous views” and we have tested the same with Samsung S8 device as you have mentioned. We didn’t face any performance issue and it works smooth as per the behavior. We have also attached a video for the same. Kindly share us more details like did you use any layouts to host schedule, or any operation while swiping the view, it will help us to analyze more on this.

We looked at your video, and it has the same problem we are referring to. Notice when the month completes the scroll at the end, it end abruptly, it's not a smooth end to the animation at all.

Thank you for the update. 

 

We have checked the reported performance delay when swiping the Schedule MonthView and which is the expected behavior. We have already improved the swiping performance in our previous updates with the various cases. As per the implementation, Schedule has three views (Previous, Current and Next). While swiping the views swiping panel will update based on the swipe update. Appointments will render only when the Visible view changing and add in runtime. Also, we have handled swiping animation with finger and fling animation, for those views. So, the current behavior with swiping and its animation is the expected one.
