PDF Document - Document Close Event

Hi Guys

When a Document is loaded into the PDFDcoumentView or PDFViewer - an event is fired - DocumentLoaded. I have looked for a DocumentClose event and cannot see it in either control ... this aspect is very important for our program and we would like to see if there is a workaround and when that event will be implemented.

Regards

Darrin

Hi Darrin,

Greetings from Syncfusion,

Currently we haven’t exposed any event to trigger once document closed. So, we would like to know your exact requirement for the requested event. It will be helpful for us to analyze further.

Karthik.

Hi Karthik - thank you for the Reply. When a document is unloaded from the viewer, our program needs to perform a number of operations and execute some methods. Currently we use a timer event testing if the viewer has a document loaded (ie IsDocumentLoaded) and if not, then performs those operations and execute those methods. The timer event is unreliable because if a document is unloaded and then a new one loaded within a short space of time, we fail to catch the document being closed and that causes some issues.

Hi Darrin,

Thank you for replying us with the requirements.

As mentioned in our previous update, at present we do not have any event to track the document closing action in the PDF Viewer. We have planned to implement this event for 2019 Volume 1 release which is expected to be available in the month of March, 2019. In case if you require the feature immediately, please create a support incident using Direct Trac, so that we can deliver the patch for this event implementation.

Ayswarya
