Selection of controls when creating a new project

Hello,

When creating a new project in VS2017, the wizard asks in advance for the controls to be used in the project as shown in the image below.
What happens if, after some time, I need controls that I did not select when the project was created?
Should I only add the required references to the project and update the web.config file?

Best regards,
Jorge Maldonado

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.

We don’t have the option to add the additional control in existing project. We logged this as feature request and will implement in any of our upcoming issue.

Yes, please add the required assemblies in project reference and web.config file until we implement this feature.

Thanks for your reply.
I see no problem doing this manually by adding the required references and updating the web.config file.
Also, I guess that a good choice is to select all of the controls at the time of creating the new project because I suppose that the only impact this would have is in the size of the project to be uploaded to the web server due to the DLLs although this can be done only the first time. After copying the DLLs for the first time there is no need to do it every time an update is made to the project. Am I correct?

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for the update and suggestion.

We will consider this in our implementation to select all the controls and providing the option to select and deselect all controls. We will implement in any of our upcoming release.
