Gulp and Visual Studio 2017 v15.7

I am trying to install for the first time the Syncfusion developer package to use in mt ASP.NET Core 2.1 web app. Part of the setup process described inhttps://help.syncfusion.com/aspnet-core/gettingstarted/getting-started-2-x describes adding and editing a gulpfile.js file. My version of Visual Studio 2017 no longer has the option to add the Gulp configuration file. I need to know how to continue with the setup process.

Should I manually recreate the steps described in the Getting Started or is there another, more suitable approach?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion Support.

Yes, Visual Studio 2017 (v15.7) has no longer support for gulp file configuration. We are currently analyzing the possibilities on using Library Manager in Visual Studio 2017 for giving support to copy our EJ libraries in an ASP.NET Core project. Meanwhile, we kindly request you to copy the required dependent CSS and script files of EJ controls from the node_modules folder and paste it into the wwwroot folder of your application. Once we give the support, we will update you on how to use Library Manager to copy our EJ libraries into wwwroot folder.

We appreciate your patience, until then.

Regards,
