Can I make the SfCarousel loop around?

This is a beautiful control.  Well done to whoever wrote this.
I would really like to be able to have it act in a never-ending loop that, where the last Item is followed by the 1st Item.
Is there something built-in that makes this possible?

Hi Jason,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.

Query: I would really like to be able to have it act in a never-ending loop that, where the last Item is followed by the 1st Item

We have checked your requirement from our side. Currently we do not have support for looping feature in SfCarousel and we prefer to use SfRotator to achieve this requirement. Please find the sample from below link.

Sample: http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/support/forum/137990/ze/RotatorUWP1913343638

Please let us know if you have any other queries.

I'm going to play with the SfRotator but, at first glance, all I can say is great job!  I really like this control.
Here are my initial thoughts:
  • I'm curious why this control doesn't appear in the samples app.
  • It looks like I have very little control over the visuals for the NavigationStrip (which is turned off in the sample for some reason).  Making use of the Carousel and it's animations here seems like a good idea.
  • Virtualization?  My ItemsSource can have up to 1400 Items in it.  Ideally, my NavigationStrip Items would be built using a DataTemplate that doesn't require downloading the full-size image or most of the data I would put in the SelectedItem's DataTemplate.  Is this possible?  Can you provide some guidance?
  • The Navigation Buttons in the main UI don't seem to work.  I enabled them and they appear when I mouse over the large image of rubber duckies (nice), but as the mouse approaches the buttons, they disappear.  So I shrank the width of the sample app so that the image used the entire width of the window.  This causes the buttons to flicker when the mouse approaches them or is over them.  Clicking one caused an "Object reference" error.
All that said, I'm very impressed with this library.  Keep up the good work!

Hi Jason,

Thanks for your update.

We have a sample for SfRotator control. Please check the following link for more details about SfRotator

Link: https://help.syncfusion.com/xamarin/sfrotator/getting-started

For query:”Virtualization”

We have checked the reported requirement “All items should be shown in Navigation strip” in our side. In our current implementation we don’t have support to make this type of Virtualization. So, we have consider this as a feature and logged a feature report. It will be available any of our upcoming volume releases.

Please check our website periodically to know the status of the features that are implemented.

Please let us know, if you have any other concern.

Mugundhan S.
