Panning on Gantt

Hello everyone

I'd like to use the Gantt Control on a PC with touch screen, but when I enable the panning mode (ScrollViewer.PanningMode="Both"), it works fine horizontaly on the chart, but on the vertical part it doesn't work on neither the chart or the grid (in the grid when I try to pan it selects multiple rows).

You can reproduce the observed behavior by adding the before mentioned line of code to the GanttControl in the MainWindow.xaml class of the sample Gantt/Getting starte/Essential Gantt in Essential Studio WPF.

Is there a way to obtain the desired behavior (panning verticaly to scroll the gantt grid/chart)?

Cheers
Antoine

Hi Antoine,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion Support.

We can resolve the problem in the sample level by setting the PanningMode to the GanttGrid in the Gantt control. Please find the demo sample from the below location.

Hi Sridharan

thank you for the sample, the panning now works fine on the Gantt grid, but the chart still only works sideway, is there a way to have the vertical panning on the chart as well?

Cheers
Antoine

Hi Antoine,

Thanks for the update.

Currently, vertical panning in the Gantt chart is not feasible with existing UI structure. We will resolve this problem in any of our upcoming release.

Sridharan
