Based on your requirement to select multiple cards, we suggest you to use the selectionType property of Kanban. Hence in this property you can define the selection type as multiple to select multiple cards.

Thanks for the update. 
 
As per current behavior, we did not have the properties or methods to select the Kanban cards at dynamically or programmatically. So, we have considered this as a feature and this feature will be included in our Volume 2 SP1, 2018 release.
