Reference external workbook in formulas

Question

Good day, this may be a bit of a long shot but i was just wondering if it is possible to calculate data from an external workbook in a formula in the spreadsheet control, perhaps using xlsio, much like excels ability to link to other books?

I would like to summarize data from a large workbook in the spreadsheet control without opening that document in the control to keep the spreadsheet control simple and light.

Spreadsheet does not have support to refer the data in external workbook to calculate the formulas in current workbook.
