Creating Spreadsheet widget (or at least adding Stacked Headers functionality to the Grid widget)

The goal is to have an ability of grouping several columns under one named column (similar to the "Stacked Headers" functionality of the Essential JS1's "Grid" control). Decided to try creating a widget for the Essential JS1's Spreadsheet.  For now it would be okay to have a preconfigured control for the particular dataset (because it seems impossible to configure a hierarchy of columns via the Dashboard Designer's widget settings). So the idea is to have at least  a spreadsheet for the specific dataset. Is it even possible to implement (I hope it is)?

The problem is I couldnt' make it even to be rendered (even empty). It would be perfect to see a minimal example of widget configuration for the Spreadsheet control (so that it at least was able to render).

Hi Artemy, 

Currently we don’t have support “Stacked Header” in Grid widget and this feature will be available in any one of our upcoming release. 

You can create a custom widget for the Spreadsheet control for your requirement and it can be added in to dashboard designer.  
  1. Please refer link to prepare and configure spreadsheet control for your requirement
  2. Refer here, how to create a custom widget for your JavaScript (Spreadsheet) control
  3. Import the SYCW file into dashboard designer and can be used as built-in widget. Please refer this link to know more details for importing the custom widget.

For your convenience we made simple Spreadsheet custom widget and it can be downloaded at here.
