Layer ItemsSource Updating

Our app has a requirement where we need to highlight states based on options selected on the same page as the map control. The map is correct with the initial ItemsSource set but when I update the ObservableCollection bound to the ItemSource the map remains unchanged. I have tried with List wired up to INotifyPropertyChanged, I even went as far as completely rebuilding the ShapeFile Layer when the options changed and yet the map remains unchanged. Any help or work arounds would be great.

Query: Layer ItemSource not Updating 
 
We have analyzed your query and we are able to reproduce the reported issue at our end. Initially ItemSource are set, when dynamically update ItemSource, collections changes are not hooked and hence there is no change. We have logged defect report regarding the same. This fix will include in our upcoming 2018 volume 1 sp1 release which is expected to be rolled out by the mid of March 2018. We appreciate your patience until then.
