Multiple Layers with transparency

Hello,

I have added two layers on a SfMap. These layers are based on same country but the first one has low level shape and borders, and the other one has high level. I have set fill color for first layer shapes to transparent, keep border visible, and set fill color for second layer to another color (but not transparent). But set shape fill color to transparent for a layer does not allow to see colored shapes of second layer which are under first layer. How could I achieve this ?

Thank you.

Hi Antonin,

Query: Multiple Layers with transparency

We have analyzed your query and prepared a sample based on that. Currently, we don’t have SubShapeFileLayer Support in Xamarin Forms and Xamarin. iOS but supports in Xamarin.Android platform. So we have achieved your requirement in Xamarin.Android. In the attached sample, we have added world map as the first layer and filled with solid gray color and added Australia shape file as the second layer and applied transparent color with red border. Please download the sample from below link,

If the above sample doesn’t meet your needs and If we have misunderstood your requirement, please elaborate your requirements and provide right platform.

Hello,

Thank you for this answer. Ok I note that this feature is only compatible with Android. Do you know if it will be add shortly on iOS and/or Forms ?

I have also noticed that "ShapeStrokeThickness" (property of "ShapeSetting") is not working on iOS, while "SelectedShapeStrokeThickness" is working. Have you information about that ?

Regards.

Query1: SubShapeFileLayer Support in Xamarin Forms and Xamarin. iOS

As per our current implementation of Maps control we don’t have SubShapeFileLayer Support in Xamarin Forms and Xamarin. iOS.
We have already logged feature request on "SubShapeFileLayer Support for Maps in Xamarin Forms and Native iOS". This feature will be available in any of our upcoming volume releases.

Query2: ShapeStrokeThickness (property of "ShapeSetting") is not working on iOS

We could reproduce the issue at our end in Forms iOS and we will include this fix in our upcoming 2018 volume 1 sp1 release which is expected to be rolled out by the mid of March 2018.

As per our current implementation we don’t have SubShapeFileLayer Support in Xamarin Forms and Xamarin. iOS. Since we are working on other higher priority items on our to-do list that we must complete first. As this implementation would greatly depend on the factors such as product design, code compatibility and complexity, we will implement this feature in any of our upcoming releases. We will inform you once this feature is implemented.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your interest in this feature, currently we are working on implementing this feature in our control and it will be available in our Volume 3, 2018 release which is scheduled to be rolled out at the end of September 2018. We appreciate your patience until then.

Thanks,
Michael
