Unable to open any Dashboard or Widget on Syncfusion Dashboard Server

Hi,

I'm evaluating the features of Syncfusion Dashboard Server and after deployment to Azure and initial configuration I'm unable to open any predefined widgets and/or dashboards. The error I'm receiving is DV002:The Dashboard service could not be contacted. There may be a temporary glitch or the server may be down.

When inspecting network request I'm seeing that POST request to /DashboardService/DashboardService.svc/InitializeControls is returning 404 error.

When deploying and updating I followed these guides:
https://help.syncfusion.com/dashboard-platform/dashboard-server/azure-deployment/app-service/arm-template
https://help.syncfusion.com/dashboard-platform/dashboard-server/azure-deployment/app-service/migration-to-latest

Best regards,
Radek

Hi Radoslaw,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.

Please follow the below steps to configure SSL for your Dashboard Server in the Azure app services,
  1. Login to the Azure portal
  2. Navigate to the Dashboard Server app in the App Services and get the publisher profile.

  1. Get the FTP publish URL, username and password form the publisher profile.

  1. Connect to FTP through FileZilla using the above credentials and navigate to the “DashbaordService” folder.

  1. Move the “Web.config” file which is in the DashboardService folder in to the local folder.

  1. Download and extract the Syncfusion Dashboard Service Configuration Manager from the below link and place it in the same folder where you have the “Web.config” file.

  1. Run Syncfusion Dashboard Service Configuration Manager application and select “Enable” and save it.

  1. Move and replace the updated “Web.config” file into the “DashbaordService” folder.

I hope this will fix your issue in rendering the dashboard in the Azure app services.

Thanks,
Arasuraja B.
