Appointment resize on mouseover

Hi

I am a little stumped on how to add resizing for an appointment on mouseover the specific start/end time lines. The only way to enable the resizing is to select the appointment and drag it a little to show the two dots for resizing. I would like to disable this and add one on mouse over. Is there a way to modify the resizing icons? Currently they are just two dots.

Is there a specific example available?

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support. 

 

We have checked with your mentioned query, “Resizing of an appointment on mouse over”. In schedule, it is possible to resize an appointment only by selecting the appointment and resizing it through context menu or drag and drop or through Commands. Resizing option couldn’t be enabled on mouse over, only by selecting the appointment it is possible to show the resizing option. As in outlook, we have considered to resize the selected appointment on selection of that appointment itself and without using possible Schedule commands, drag and drop or context menu. Could you please revert us whether this satisfies your requirement? Else could you please provide us more details regarding your requirement?  

 

Also, currently there is no support to modify or customize the resizing icons (two dots).We have logged a feature request for the same and we will implement this feature in any of our upcoming volume release.

Ideally i would like to resize on mouse over. Do you have any way to restyle based on a mouse over event to enable resizing including arrows to resize instead of the dots?

Do you have the preview style available so i can disable the two dots? I want to be able to only resize on mouse over.

As we mentioned in our previous update, the support to Resize the Appointment on mouse over and customize the resizing icons is not available in Schedule WPF. We have considered to implement this feature and logged feature report for the same. We will implement and include this feature in any of our upcoming Volume release. We will let you know once the implementation has done.

In Schedule, you can customize the appointments using appointment template.

But as we mentioned in our earlier updates, Schedule doesn’t have support to customize / restyle the appointment resizing icons. As we have handled resizing behaviors in control level, it is not possible to override through style. So, we have logged feature report for the same. We will let you know once the implementation has done.
