Hi Diego,

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion components.

You can print the reports without viewing using our ReportWriter control. We have prepared a simple sample based on this and it can be downloaded from the below location.

In the above sample we have exported the report as PDF and then the PDF document has been sent to default printer to print the report without preview.

Hi Vinoth. I define my RDLC report paper size in A5, but the ReportWriter and PDFViewer not fit the page with the size defined. In my case I need a one page, but the solution print many pages. The default printer was configured with A5 paper too.

Can you help me with this?

Hi Diego,

We suspect the extra page added due to the sum of report body width and margin exceeds the Report page width. As per MS layout when report width is lesser than the (Body Width + (Report Left Margin + Report Right Margin)), an additional page will be added in print layout. Kindly reduce body width or increase page width in order to avoid the extra blank pages. Please refer the following link for further details.

If you still face any issue then could you please share your report with us and it will be helpful for us to provide the solution at the earliest.

Vinoth S.

Hi Vinoth,

I attach the sample. I configured the paper size in A5 (5,8"x8,3").

The fit of the page is One, but the report use 4 pages.

Thanks,

Diego

Hi Diego,

As we updated earlier, when the sum of body size and margin value exceeds report size blank page will occur, so you have to design the report based on the report page size. In your report the report BodyWidth=21cm, LeftMargin= 1cm, RightMargin and ReportWidth=21cm, as per RDL layout calculation (BodyWidth(21cm)+LeftMargin(1cm)+ RightMargin(1cm)>ReportWidth(21cm)) , so extra blank pages added. You have to reduce the BodyWidth in your report to make BodyWidth+LeftMargin+RightMagin<=ReportWidth. Please find the below modified report which renders in 2 pages in both Microsoft report viewer and in Syncfusion report viewer.

Hi Sanket,

Could you please confirm whether your requirement is to view the report in ReportViewer and then export and save the report into your local machine as PDF or word document? Based on your confirmation we can provide you the details for your requirement.
