Starting in 2019, the Reporting control is no longer included in Essential Studio®. If you're experiencing issues with the Syncfusion Reporting Platform, Report Viewer, Report Designer, or Report Writer, we recommend migrating to Bold Reports, our dedicated reporting platform.

Bold Reports offers a comprehensive suite of tools and features for all your reporting needs, and we will help you make a smooth transition from the discontinued control. Our support team at https://support.boldreports.com/ is here to assist you with any questions or difficulties you may encounter during the migration process.

We thank you for choosing Syncfusion and appreciate your understanding.

Error when using markup in text box expression

We have a text box on a report.  The expression is as follows:

="(Total: <font color='#0078d7'>" & CountRows("dsGetDaFileAgencies") & "</font>)"

We are trying to change the font color in the within the rendered expression itself.

The report renders fine in SSRS directly.  When we view the report in the sfReportViewer, instead of changing the font color, the markup is displayed in the rendered report.  Please see attachment.  We are using version 15.4.0.17 of the Viewer per Nuget Package Syncfusion.SfPdfViewer.UWP46.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your interest in Syncfusion Components.

Currently, we don’t have support to render the markup text with expression in a single placeholder, already logged a feature request on this. As of now, we can achieve this by using multiple run in the textbox and you can set the color to required run. We have modified you report based on this and it can be downloaded from the below location.

Could you please confirm whether the above solution meet with your requirement.

Regard,
Vinoth S.

Hi there, can you please confirm if a fix for this issue has been included in the end-of-March SP release?  If so I will begin testing.  Thanks.
