Not able refresh the control

i have textbox on my metroform when user click on textbox a new form gets open where he need to select the value, after selecting the value the the form should get close and the selected value should get updated to textbox.

i had tried all possible ways, i am getting the value on form1 but the text on textbox is not getting updated please help
