MaskEdit broken on Android

Mask edit does not work as expected in android. User input does not appear to be validated and placeholder/mask get pushed to the right each time a user inputs a character.

The screenshot below is on a Galaxy Note 8 with Chrome v63.0.3239.111 Android v7.1.1

Broken:

Android v7.1.1 Chrome v63.0.3239.11
Android v7.1.1 Chrome v65.0.3316.0
Android v7.1.1 Firefox v57.0.4

Working

iOS 11.1 v63.0.3239
iOS 11.1 Safari

Any ideas for a quick fix to android support for this control. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll post some more mobile tests as I make them this morning.

Tested with Chrome v63.0.3239.73 on iOS 11.1 and the control is working as expected. Seems to be an issue only on android at this point.

I'm still struggling with a fix for this.  I've tried remote debugging chrome on an android device and I'm not seeing any errors in the developer console log. Any ideas that might point me in the right direction for writing a patch for this. I had to revert to a simple textbox in some production code while I await a fix for this.

When is the Vol 1 2018 release expected to come out? We have this control in production so waiting multiple months for a patch just won't work for us.
