Multiple Active Directory

Hi


I am currently setting up a dashboard server. 

Currently it is set up with one active directory. 

I have another AD that i would like to import so that other people are able to see the dashboard. 

The LDAP is the same for both Current AD and additional AD, however the domain name is different. I am wondering, am i able to add another domain into the "Distinguished Name" field. 

For Example DC=currentdomain, DC=co, DC=uk, DC=newdomain, DC=co, DC=uk

Hi Paul, 

Thanks for using Syncfusion Dashboard Platform. 
 
Currently dashboard server don’t have support to add and use multiple AD domains. But we have a workaround from which you can import users from different domains. 
 
  1. Add the AD settings for the 1st domain in the Dashboard Server. (Help documentation)
  2. Import the users from the 1st domain. (Help Documentation)
  3. Update the AD settings for the 2nd domain in the Dashboard Server.
  4. Import the users from the 2nd domain.
 
After this workaround, you would see both the users from the 1st and 2nd domains. Users imported from both the domains would be able to login and view the allowed dashboards. 
 
However, we have the below limitations while using this workaround. 
 
  1. On-Demand synchronization and Scheduled synchronization cannot be done as the server would only synchronize the users in the AD domain updated in the settings and will remove the users from the other domain.
 
We have plans to support multiple AD domains and we will add this support in any of our upcoming releases.
