Being notified about scrolling state of the list view?

Hi,
I'd like to get scrolling state of the list view (is scrolling or not) and it'd be great if it also fires some kind of event (ie list view started to scroll, list view did stop scrolling).
I wonder if we can have these features in the incoming versions?

Hi,

Currently, we do not have support for “Detecting the different ScrollStates for ScrollView in SfListView” and we have already considered this as feature request. We have added it into our feature request list, and the feature will be available in our upcoming 2017 Volume 4 main release. We will update you once the feature has been implemented and included in release.

Hi Ha,

We are glad to announce that our Essential Studio Volume 4, 2017 (Version 15.4.0.17) is rolled out and is available for download under the following link.

The reported feature “Detecting the different ScrollStates for ScrollView in SfListView” has been implemented and included in this release. Please refer the below documentation to know about different scrolling states and how to identify them in SfListView.

Hi Muthu Kumaran Gnanavinayagam,
Thanks for your team's effort.
I've tested SfListView in version 15.4.0.17 and I found that sometimes the events don't fire.
For example, if I drag the list view then release, I only get "ScrollState.Dragging" then "ScrollState.Fling", I don't get ScrollState.Idle when the list view stop scrolling.
This occurs in iOS. I haven't tested in Android yet.

Hi Ha,

We have checked the reported query “ScrollState does not notify ‘Idle’ state in iOS platform” from our side. Unfortunately, the reported issue does not replicate at our end. We have checked by identifying the ScrollStates in a Label’s Text property and found that the they are notified properly in all the platforms.

For your reference, we have attached the sample along with the video to showcase that the Scrolling states are working fine in iOS platform and you can download it from the below location.

Please let us know if you require further assistance.

Regards,
G.Muthu Kumaran.
