GridNumericColumn Allowedit stays blank

Dear Syncfusion,

testet on Android. A  GridNumericColumn with property allowEditing=true,  stays white when in editmode. (see screenshot in attachement)
If I change it to a GridTextColumn, it works perfectly.
Why is this ?

Hi Gert,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support. We have checked your query and were not able to reproduce the issue from our side. We have prepared a sample based on your requirements and have tested the same in a Samsung Galaxy S6 and Android KitKat emulator , with the latest version of Syncfusion nugets installed (15.3.0.33) and unfortunately were not able to reproduce the reported issue. So could you please share the issue replicating sample with us , or modify our sample below  to replicate the issue so that we can look into it and resolve the issue for you.

 

However we are pretty sure that you have not added the Syncfusion’s SfNumericTextBox control’s references to your projects which is causing the blank issue. Since SfDataGrid loads the SfNumericTextBox inside each cell of the GridNumericColumn it is essential to add those references as well. Please refer the below UG link to know which all dlls should be added as reference to each of your projects ( PCL, android renderer, iOS renderer, UWP renderer).

For more reference you can download our sample from the below link, restore the nuget packages from the package manager and go to the reference section of each project to know the references added.

I updated all my Suncfusion controls via NuGet (SfDataGrid, SfCommon, SfNumericTextBox and SfPicker) to 15.3.0.33 for all Projects (PCL,UWP, Android, IOS) . 
I still have  problems.
On Android it stays white, on UWP the app crashes while clicking or editing.

  For some reason I cannot start your exemple.
Could it be because I use Xamarin.Forms version 2.3.4.224 ? ( I cannot go lower because of other Components)
Maybe I should wait for the November release ?

Thanks for your update. We have checked the reported GridNumericColumn editing problem with Xamarin.Forms v2.3.4.224 and SfDataGrid v15.3.0.33 in both XForms.Android and XForms.UWP platforms but we are not able to reproduced the issue, SfDataGrid has been edited and values committed properly. For your reference we have attached our sample and Screenshot in the below location, please check it. Could you please do revert us by modifying our sample to replicate the issue or share your sample along with replication procedure, that would be more helpful for us to proceed further.

Hello Ashok,

thx for your time. I deinstalled every nuget package and reinstalled everything and now the numeric textbox is not blank anymore.Very strange.

But on UWP I have still a problem. When I double click a numeric cell, I can edit it, but wenn I then double click on the next cell , the app freezes.

Step 1 : double click on a numerictextbox for edit

Step 2 : double click on a cell in the same row.

Result : Freeze of application.

Can you please check this ?

Thanks for your update.

We could reproduce the reported issue on UWP platform, the fix will be included in our Volume 4 main release which is expected to be rolled out by the beginning of November 2017.

We will let you know once the release has been rolled out.
