How to import Visio files to test large object count performance of Diagram control?

The Symbol Designer application has a file open combo box option for vsd files. However any attempt to load a vsd or vsdx file results in an XmlException. How can I load an example Visio file to test how the Diagram control works with large numbers of nodes?

Also: Is there an option to be able to copy/paste vector graphics from/to the clipboard?
e.g. selecting a bunch of graphic objects in visio and then copy paste them into a diagram control?

We don’t have support to load the vsd or vsdx file  and Clipboard support from Visio in Diagram Control.

We have support to copy/paste vector graphics from DiagramControl as Image  to Word, Paint.

We can load the large number of nodes in Diagram Control with Virtualization support.

We have exposed Virtualization sample in our Dashboard for Diagram. For more information, please refer to the dashboard sample location as below,

Virtualization sample location : Classic -> Diagram Control -> Performance Samples -> Virtualization
