Legend label colors corresponding to their series colors?

Examples I've found only set the label text colors for the legend to a single color. Can they be made to individually correspond to the color of their associated series?

So the only way to accomplish this is by completely re-creating the entire Legend UI element manually? That seems like a fairly silly oversight in basic functionality, but I guess it's not like that isn't par for the course with Xamarin.
