Selection not working with chart control

Hello,

I've tried implementing range selection on ether the X, Y or XY axes but I can't get it to work.

I've followed the instructions here:

and even tried to use this:

http://mvc.syncfusion.com/demos/web/chart/multipleselection

but although it compiles and the chart is displayed, I can't select anything.

I've attached my view with the implementation of the chart.

Is this an issue you're aware of? if not, could I have a copy of the source project used in the multiple selection example?
