Hi Customer,

Thank you for using Syncfusion products.

We are able to reproduce the mentioned issue in replacing text in Word document. On further analyzing your given input Word document, we have found that the text is preserved inside the Group Shapes and also Word document contains some Custom Shapes. DocIO does not have support for these features.

We
have logged this feature request in our database. The feature implementation would also greatly depend on the factors such as product design, code compatibility and complexity. The feature will be available in any of our upcoming releases. Please check our website periodically to know the status of the feature.

As a workaround, we have modified your given Word document without any content loss to achieve your requirement. Kindly use the modified document and let us know if it helps.

Hi Customer,

We are glad to announce that the group shape preservation in DOCX to PDF conversion is implemented and it is included in our Essential Studio 2019 Volume 2 Beta release v17.2.0.28.

On further analyzing the given documents, we have found that the elements which cause preservation issues are custom shapes. Currently, Essential DocIO does not provide support for custom shapes preservation in Word to PDF conversion. We have already logged this as a feature request in our database. We don’t have any immediate plans to implement this feature. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features.  We will let you know when this feature is implemented.
