Programmatically switch to selected RibbonGallery item

I have 9 items in my RibbonGallery (3 rows), If I expend the Gallery to view all items and select item from any row besides the first row the RibbonGallery closes, the chosen item is selected but the panel isn't showing the current row and the selected item (although the correct code is performed), the view stays on the first row.

Is there a way to change the view programmatically?
