Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.
We have analyzed your query. Currently, the search finality of FileExplorer control looks for text in the file name and contents in the current (selected) folder not in subfolders of current folder. We have improved search functionality with deep searching that is, the search includes all folders included in the current folder as well as subfolders within those folders. This feature will be included in our upcoming volume 4 2015 release, which is expected to be rolled out by mid of January 2016.
Are you expecting this deep searching in FileExplorer control? Or please provide the more details about your requirement this would be helpful for us to identify your exact requirement and provide a solution at the earliest.
