Hi Lorenz,
Yes, Syncfusion ReportViewer have support to view external images. We have prepared a sample to use ReportParameter as image location which gets image path from code behind using SetParameters() API and it can be downloaded from the following location.

Thanks for the reply but it seems like it doesn't show the "image" just
the path of the image . Can you please send some tutorial video that
shows how it works.

The mentioned error might have occurred due to referring of lower version assemblies at your end. Please share your Syncfusion Essential studio version details. We have prepared a video sample of the application and it can be downloaded from the following location.

My Syncfusion Essential studio version is 13.1.0.21. do you think this is the reason why the image doesn't show? or is it something else like VS version.
