Zooming into specific shape with code

Hi,

I'm trying to zoom into a shape on a map by clicking on an item in a grid. So for example if I click on a country in the grid, the map should zoom to that country (still the same layer).

Is there a way that I can simulate a click on a specific shape, or zoom in using some other method?

Any help will be appreciated,
