AngularJS ej-datetimepicker: Cursor jumps to end when you manually type value

Question

We're experiencing an issue with the AngularJS control ej-datetimepicker.

When you give the text field focus and update the value (eg. delete a character, or enter a number etc.) the cursor jumps to the end of the input box. This makes it a horrible user experience.

I'm happy to provide a demo app if you wish, but at the time of writing, this bug exists in the demo on the following page:

Do you know if a fix is on it's way, or if there's a work-around?

Sorry about the inconvenience caused.

We are able to reproduce the above reported issue (“When you give the text field focus and update the value (eg. delete a character, or enter a number etc") the cursor jumps to the end of the input box”), also have logged a report regarding this.
