Xamarin Android gauge: page with gauge that has been popped (PopModalAsync) crashes app

Hello Syncfusion

On Xamarin Android: After popping a page with a gauge by using PopModalAsync, the app crashes on next value change with a null pointer exception.

Please see attached project to reproduce (wait for app to start in portrait mode, change to landscape orientation).

Hope to see a solution very soon.

Kind regards

Steen Steiniche

Hi Steiniche,

Thanks for using Syncfusion products.

We are unable to run the provided sample. So we have created a new sample based on the provided code snippet in your project and we are unable to reproduce the mentioned issue from that sample. Please find the sample below.

Sample link: SfGauge_Xamarin_Forms.zip

In the above sample we have used our latest Xamarin Forms assemblies for our controls, so please modify the above sample (in a runnable state) to reproduce the issue, so that we could analyse on that and provide you better solution.

Please let us know if you have any concerns.

Regards,

Nijamudeen M.

Hello Syncfusion

Thank you for the supplied sample.

Your sample does not reproduce the issue I reported. You have not implemented the code that pops and pushes pages, so the error never occurs. Please implement that in you project to verify whether there is an issue or not.

I cannot use your sample for another reason. It is a portable project, ours is a shared code project.

Please have this resolved as fast as possible, if you agree there is an error. We have postponed a release because of this and other bugs in your product.

Regards

Steen Steiniche

Hi Steiniche,

Sorry for the Inconvenience caused.

We are able to reproduce the mentioned issue in our previous version (v12.4.0.34) assemblies and the issue was already fixed in our latest version (v13.1.0.21). So please upgrade to our latest assemblies for Xamarin Forms, which is available for download from the below link.

Hello Syncfusion

Thanks for your reply. The new version has solved the problem.

We don't use your Essential Studio, we use Visual Studio and your NuGet server for new versions. However, your NuGet server does not yet appear to offer the new version that you have linked to above. It would be nice if new versions could be found on the NuGet server at the same time as other channels.

Regards
