I have a requirement for a master detail form such as an invoice where we'd use standard form controls for the header such as Customer, Date, and Order Number etc. The invoice items would then be controlled by the grid. The problem comes when I'm thinking about saving the data and incorporating the child data. I've had decent success using the grid on it's own on a page using batch inputting and have managed to wire most things successfully, but in the 'real world' the grid will probably be associated with a master record where data entry would ideally be done all at once. The save button on the grid only calls the save method for those rows as far as I understand in my MVC controller?

Do you have any literature or samples that could point me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,

Paul Pitchford.
