Are the MS ajax scripts now included by default as part of the ScriptManager and no longer required ot be included separately?

It seems that this is the case, but I didn't see this announcement so I was unsure if this is the case or some other script that happens to look like the MS js code.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for using Syncfusion products.

Microsoft scripts has been added for MVC4  from our Essential Studion volume 1 release. If you using the lower version of MVC then you will need to manually add the Micrsoft scripts. We announced about this changes in the release notes of Essential Studio version and it is available in below link.

Kindly let us know if you have any  other queries.
