How do i insert the row number or serial numbers in grid grouping control.?

I have a screen which is designed with grid grouping feature in VB. I want to insert the row  numbers to the records in the screen.. how i can do it..? pls give me suggestions.. When I sort the records row numbers shud not change

We have checked your query at our end. We would like to let you know that you can insert the row number by using NumberedRowHeaders property also you can achieve the same by using PrepareViewStyleInfo event. Please refer the following KB article for your reference.
