I am using EF and custom SQL to only return the number of records I need - the DB contains millions of rows. I am able to properly return only the rows that I want to display. But the paging does not work - my grid has only one page.
I have read a number of posts with different results, but many of them are for older versions. For 2103.1 how does one properly establish paging. This seems like basic functionality that should be implemented - you cannot expect for paging to work by loading every single record from the database - that would not make sense.
I am interested in Server and JSON paging.
